I will admit, I’m becoming an adjustingly paranoid parent.
When my teenagers were younger, I was convinced that I was going to be a cool mom who let them be totally independent.
And then, I started hearing all of the horror stories from other parents. I don’t like the idea of my teenagers being on the internet unmonitored, getting into trouble with older teenagers, or experimenting with substances in unsafe locations. That’s why I decided I should create a cool hang space for them at our house. This way, I have the ability to keep an eye on them and their little friends. The first thing that I needed to tackle was clearing out the garage. Secondly, I called my favorite heating and cooling company to tell me what my options were for indoor air quality control. Because the garage wasn’t affixed to the central heating and cooling system, we were going to either need to retrofit HVAC duct into the walls.., however or find a satellite Heating and A/C system that could actually heat and cool the poorly insulated space. My favorite Heating and A/C serviceman abruptly told me about mini split ductless heating and cooling systems. He said they are really my best option for actually and efficiently heating and cooling the garage space. He helped me pick out the right model for my ductless heating and cooling component and had the air quality control component installed in one afternoon. Now, the teenagers can hang out safely in the garage, play video games, and have control of their own indoor environment. I know that they’re still up to no good, but at least I can pretend not to smell the smoke thanks to the high quality Heating and A/C system.
