Skilled at living without heat

For the past few weeks we have been experiencing a changing outdoor air uneven temperatures on a quarterly basis, but each day seems a few degrees colder than the last, and it’s been a major transition phase from our official Summer heat and humidity.

Around here, it seems like the heat and sun is never ending.

For many months, you continually sweat and rely on a/c, and just when it seems like Summer is never going to stop and you are stuck in a perpetual heat trap, the weather suddenly breaks without warning. For us, this happened just a few weeks ago. Don’t get me wrong, everybody feels severely relieved on those first few days of cool, fresh air, however, as the air temperature continues to do, public opinion suddenly shifts, then one day everyone is enthusiastic about the fall weather, and the next day everybody is up in arms about the pending winter time season. This is especially tplot in my home, where we have been trying to live without any heat for the past few weeks. When the outdoor air temperature finally declined, our furnace was not prepared for action. My nice friend and I flipped on the heater one day and the central furnace began making bad sounds. A few minutes later, it stopped toiling. We’ve been trying to get by without a central furnace ever since. I realized, I am pretty skilled at living without any heat. The more I think about it, the colder my childhood seems, but growing up, we rarely utilized the heat so that my mom could save currency on the energy bill. In my own adult life, I’ve constantly relied heavily on the central heater. However, these days when push comes to shove, I’ve been living quite warmly without any new heating sources. I bet I could go all winter time without repairing the heater. My roommates might not agree.
