Skilled at living without heat

For the past few weeks we have been experiencing a increasing outdoor air temperatures on a yearly basis.

Each day seems a few degrees colder than the last, & it’s been a major transition period from our correct Summer heat & humidity.

Around here, it seems like the heat & daylight is never ending. For multiple months, you continually sweat & rely on air conditioning, but just when it seems like Summer is never going to stop & you are stuck in a perpetual heat trap, the weather suddenly breaks without warning. For us, this happened just a few weeks ago. Don’t get me wrong, everybody feels severely relieved on those first few afternoons of cool, fresh air. However, as the air temperature continues to do, public opinion swiftly shifts! One day all the people is cheerful about the fall weather, & the next day everybody is up in arms about the pending winter time season. This is especially true in my home, where we have been trying to live without any heat for the past few weeks. When the outdoor air temperature finally declined, our boiler was not prepared for action. My associate and I flipped on the furnace one day & the central boiler began making bad sounds. A few minutes later, it stopped toiling. We’ve been trying to get by without a central boiler ever since. I realized, I’m pretty skilled at living without any heat. The more I think about it, the colder my childhood seems, then growing up, we rarely utilized the heat so that my mom could save money on the energy bill. In my own adult life, I have regularly relied heavily on the central furnace. However, these afternoons when push comes to shove, I have been living quite warmly without any new heating sources. I bet I could go all winter time without repairing the furnace. My roommates might not agree.
