I feel bad when I turn it up because I know that I am making the furnace work harder because I set the temperature much higher
Since I am living under my parent’s roof I have to follow the rules. They have a lot of rules and I do respect them and listen to them. They’re letting me live at the apartment as long as I can until I can find a task and get on my feet. However one of the rules is not turning up the control unit. We live in a chilly region and while in winters it can get pretty brutal. When they are at work and I am at home, I will sneak to the control equipment and turn it up. They have the control equipment set to 63 before they leave for work and for me that is too cold. I suppose I have a circulation concern because my fingers and my feet will turn white and go numb when I’m cold. When they are apartment I will complain that it’s chilly and they will tell me to put on extra layers of clothes. However I do not want to have to wear extra clothes or have a blanket around me every time that I am home. Therefore when my parents are at work I will turn the control equipment up to 76 degrees Fahrenheit. I don’t understand why my parent’s can’t keep it up to 76. I suppose one of these afternoons when both of my parents come apartment from work, I’m going to try to negotiate the control unit’s temperature with them.
