Automation system helps with hectic lifestyle

My family keeps up with an especially hectic schedule.

My husband and I both work full-time jobs that are extremely demanding on our time. We have three sons who are all involved in school activities as well as sports. They each have joined separate travel hockey leagues that involve multiple practices during the week and games on the weekends. We are frequently required to venture out-of-state for hockey tournaments. Maintaining a household is rather difficult. We struggle to manage tasks such as grocery shopping, laundry and mowing the lawn. There is no extra time available. We’ve hired professionals to take care of yard work, pool care and cleaning the house. One of the best investments we’ve made was upgrading to a smart home. Installing an automation system has significantly improved the efficiency, comfort and convenience of our lifestyle. I no longer leave the house and wonder if I’ve adjusted the thermostat, turned off the lights or locked the front door. The automation system is programmed to take care of these tasks according to our schedule and location. When we leave in the morning, the thermostat raises or lowers to conserve energy. Every door is locked and protected by an alarm system. The lights are off and our automatic blinds are closed. The automation system knows exactly when we are expected home and prepares everything accordingly. I can even start the oven, dishwasher, dryer, coffee maker and nearly any appliance via an app on my phone. Plus, I get reminders to schedule maintenance and change air filters. I get notified if there is a power outage, moisture issues, any sign of smoke or if someone enters the property. The automation system has proven invaluable.
