Are you happy, happy inside? Are you happy, is your life like a ride? Are you happy or do you frown? Are you happy, do you dance like a clown; Those are the lyrics to our Feelin’ Happy song & I made them up in the moment, which seems like an easier way for me to write lyrics than resting down & trying to know of something to write about, however anyway, I’ve been working on happiness for basically my entire life, trying to find things (like frosty air conditioning) that bring me happiness & joy, ever since I was as small as I can remember being. My gramps worked for GE & made heating & cooling devices, along with defense component way back during the war, & I can still remember when I was entirely small, him working on the electric heating system or the fireplace & it makes me smile. I’ve had a pretty cool life so far & I am wondering what this newer musical venture that I have put myself on is going to end up when I am done with it. We’ve been playing in climate controlled local companies for almost the entire year & a half we’ve been together. My buddy and I have a lot of experience in the performing arts, over 40 years combined, & it seemed like we hit the ground running making 30 tunes our first year or so. I wonder if we’ll play in air conditioned theaters one day or large Heating & A/C cooled concert halls with an audience there singing & laughing. Time will tell I guess.
