Cold weather is for romance – fireplaces

I’m always confused when magazine articles and horoscopes herold summer romances.

To me, nothing sounds grosser Than a Summer Romance.

During the summer time, I barely want to be touching myself. The heat and humidity in the region where I live is nothing to sneeze at. Every single day is the same. It’s going to be about 95°, and very humid from dawn to dusk. You need to have an air conditioning system on your side, or else you are going to survive a single day. Keeping all of that in mind, it obviously makes no sense to be trying to get cozy with another human being during the summer time. As far as I’m concerned, everyone can stay away from me with a ten-foot pole. To me, the more romantic time of year is Fall and Winter. As the air starts to get chili and cool, there’s nothing I want to do more than to snuggle up with another warm body. It doesn’t hurt to have some nice warm blankets, and it also helps to know that I’m turning down my HVAC system thanks to the extra heat. Instead of needing to run my furnace all day everyday, I can simply give the heating system a break and utilize a more natural form of warmth. To make the situation more romantic, you utilize your fireplace! Cool outdoor air combined with a warm, crackling fire is extremely romantic and relaxing – and it won’t cost you an arm and a leg if your fireplace is well maintained! Forget sweaty summer romances, I’ll take the warm and dry winter cuddles.
