December is always a very weird month in our area.
The temperatures during this time of the year are always very weird. We have one week where it will snow like 3 feet of snow. It will also be very cold. However another week in December will be extremely warm and all the snow will melt. We will have periods of rain and I will even turn off my heat for the day. I will let the sunshine into my house. So in the month of December I never know what the temperatures are really going to be like. I always have to make sure that I am prepared with both my heating and cooling system. What year it was 71 degrees outside. Clearly I did not need my heating system during this time. This is the perfect example of making sure that your HVAC system is up to date. You may need a tune-up to ensure that you will be able to switch between Heating and Cooling very easily. If you have not had a tune-up in a long time you might want to consider getting one. Getting one before the winter is my most favorite time to receive a tune up. This is because I would not want to go through the winter without an HVAC system if it broke down. Going through the winter without any heat would not be very comfortable in my house. However if I get a tune-up I will ensure that my house will be warm all winter and I will be able to switch between the cooling and heating system.
