I can focus more on playing music in non air conditioned streets for free, just to make them happy and make me happy in the process too.
My friends were trying to get me to vote yesterday but I ended up skipping it for several reasons, the main being I have no clue about politics in any way shape or form. My whole life I have avoided watching the news or reading the newspaper because I saw how it affected my parents and made them more stressed out and angry. So I told myself I would not watch or read anything about the news, and I’ve stuck to that promise my entire life, even at the ripe older age of 56 years. So instead of the air conditioned voting booths I rode to the beach with my drum and guitar to enjoy some natural climate control from the breeze on the beach and play some music. I think that choice will make me a better person, a better able person to help the world in what ways I can instead of worrying about all the news stories. I can focus more on playing music in non air conditioned streets for free, just to make them happy and make me happy in the process too. I did stand up comedy for 15 years and basically made no money doing it, but I made a heck of a lot of people happy, if even only for that moment. My local contractor friend told me that doing good things like this is one of the best ways you can help the world, which my other HVAC tech friend agreed with and is doing the same. So I guess I’m on the right track then.
