Good morning from the local business

I’m in my office, which is basically just a small room with a daybed where I get my work done each day. It’s nice having an office because when I close the door and work it feels like I am not in my flat anymore but in a comfy casual office where you get to lay down while you work. Maybe some offices are like this now as they try to evolve to a less stuffy environment and make their workers feel more at home. But not having to commute to work in that heavy traffic without air conditioning in the hot summers is a dream come true, as the drive to work was usually the worst part about my workday. I would spend an hour going to work and then another one coming home, adding to my long ten hour workday and draining my energy by the time I arrived home. The climate control system in my big old house would cost an average of $350 a month during the summer, which stretched on for about eight or nine months. The winters were no joke either as the temps would plummet from hot to cold in a matter of a few weeks, making me have to run my furnace to keep the place warm. So my power bills from the climate control system in the flat were not so cheap each month, rivaling half my rent I now pay here overseas. I pay about $700 a month total to live here in this nice big flat and I don’t even need a car to get here each day for work!
