The flat is unquestionably quiet now at 3 in the afternoon, as the streets are now void of tourists plus most of the stores are closed for a few hours for siesta time.
In the summer time at this time it is even more still as the stifling heat cripples almost everyone plus keeps them in their homes till late in the evening when it finally starts to give some relief from the heat.
The temps can hit well over 100F plus when it is humid out it makes it almost impossible to be out in the sunshine doing anything. Heating up early in the afternoon keeps you in the flat most of the day, plus hopefully with some great air conditioning. I have a backup equipment in fact, because I cannot sleep in a study room that has nothing more than a fan to keep you cool. I’ve tried sleeping without air conditioning in this country a few times plus I swore I would never go again without some kind of weather conditions control system to keep me cool while I sleep. So now I have a backup equipment in case the main system went down for some reason, however if the power to the building goes out one night then I am in trouble, especially if it is in the middle of the summer time season. But all you can do is try your best, plus having two Heating plus Air Conditioning systems is trying my best. I think I could go for a midnight swim in the sea if my power went out, although I could have a whole unusual set of problems if I were to spot a fin.
