Since I am living under my parent’s roof I have to follow the rules.
They have a lot of rules & I do respect them & listen to them.
They’re letting me live at the home as long as I can until I can find a task & get on my feet. However one of the rules is not turning up the temperature control. My friend and I live in a cold region & while in winters it can get pretty brutal. When they are at work & I am at home, I will sneak to the temperature control & turn it up. They have the temperature control set to 63 before they leave for work & for me that is too cold. I believe I have a circulation problem because my fingers & my feet will turn white & go numb when I’m cold. When they are apartment I will complain that it’s cold & they will tell me to put on extra layers of clothes. However I do not want to have to wear extra clothes or have a blanket around me every time that I’m home. Therefore when my parents are at work I will turn the temperature control up to 76 degrees Fahrenheit. I don’t understand why my parent’s can’t keep it up to 76. I feel bad when I turn it up because I know that I am making the furnace work harder because I set the temperature much higher. I believe one of these afternoons when both of my parents come apartment from work, I’m going to try to negotiate the temperature control’s temperature with them.
