Sometimes I get so mad at my wife when I go to pay our credit card bill at the end of the month.
That’s when I find out how much she has been spending from our hard-earned cash.
Suddenly, it is very clear who holds the purse-strings in this family and who is consistently trying to dump our money on the ground. I feel like my wife has no interest in realistic spending or monitoring our budget. This is especially the case when it comes to trendy health solutions and pseudo scientific reports. Most recently, she has become rather obsessed with purchasing all sorts of health supplements. Meanwhile, I’m a lot more interested in solutions that actually improve our immune systems, like air purification systems. As much as my wife wants to believe that a pill will sustain your respiratory system and immune function, I believe that high-quality indoor air is a lot more important. It matters if you are breathing airborne contaminants all day everyday. It will make a difference if you consistently have mold and mildew circulating through your central heating and cooling system. Even if you don’t have allergies you will be impacted by dust, dirt, and dander getting trapped in your central heating and cooling implements. This is why I’ve been trying to convince my wife that we should buy an air purification system to work in tandem with our HVAC plan instead of wasting our cash on unproven supplements. My wife agrees with the air purification plan to my face… And then I see all of the new snake oil supplements she purchased a few weeks later.
